Are you interested in a great job with children aged 0 to 6 years in one of our childcare centres that also enriches you personally and would you still like to study? In the dual Bachelors degree programme 'Childhood Education' you will be optimally prepared for the responsible work in a childcare centre in the town of Rodgau.

The degree programme also has a scientific focus and, through elective options, offers specialisations in educational work and administrative management, for example in daycare centres. The theoretical study programme takes place in groups of currently a maximum of 35 - 40 students, which encourages active participation in the lectures.

The Bachelors degree has the professional title 'Staatlich anerkannte/-er Kindheitspädagogin/-e'.

Advanced technical college entrance qualification or equivalent qualification

Personal requirements

Good written and spoken German

Course of study in a few words

On two days you will be taught the theoretical content at the International University (IU) in Frankfurt am Main (locations are close to the Lokalbahnhof and Südbahnhof) and on three days you will work in a municipal childcare centre. In principle, the dual study programme is planned in a regular childcare centre.

Prospects after graduation

You will be employed to gain professional experience as a nursery teacher. Once you have gained professional experience, we look forward to receiving your application for vacancies as a deputy childcare centre manager or childcare centre manager. With this degree and practical experience as a nursery school teacher, it is also possible to work in administration (e.g. educational counselling).

What you can expect from us

We will cover your tuition fees. In addition, you will receive a monthly allowance of €1,550 gross per month, in accordance with the relevant regulations governing dual study programmes in local government service.
