Vielfältige Aufgaben
Your Tasks:
As a Senior Originator for the French market in the Asset Trading department, your will:
Identify and originate Power Purchase Agreements, storage and structured products and manage relationships with market actors: corporates, traders, utilities, IPP
Lead the deals processes and carry out negotiations from beginning to end and collaborate with all internal stakeholders: legal, portfolio management, quantitative, finance, credit risk teams
Report and present your negotiation outcomes to internal committees to facilitate business decisions
Help set-up the French Business activities by supporting the development of new activities like direct marketing or new market accesses
Development and structuring of new deals and of the pricing tools required for various business areas, e.g. BESS, structured, PPA or direct marketing products.
Conduct data backtesting to challenge model results
Follow regulatory evolutions (EPEX spot, intraday, and futures markets), mechanisms for valuing flexibility (FCR, aFRR, mFRR, NEBCO, capacity mechanism), and market rules (RTE, ENEDIS, CRE resolutions, REMIT framework) that may impact the business.
Überzeugendes Profil
Your Profile:
You have already a 5 years experience as an Originator in the French power markets.
You have a degree in engineering, mathematics or a comparable subject.
Ideally, you have already gained some experience in setting up new market activities like the “Mécanisme dAjustement'.
You regularly had to deal with EFET, ISDA and PPA or Directmarketing contracts.
You have a thorough understanding of the electricity markets: EPEX spot market, intraday market, FCR, aFRR, mFRR, NEBCO, capacity mechanism, the market participants and the French regulatory framework.
You know how to manipulate and extract the data from the different TSO and data providers using API. You code in Python (or an equivalent language) and are comfortable with AI tools.
You are able to work independently to originate and close deals, but teamwork and initiative are a matter of course for you.
You are characterized by analytical thinking, a structured way of working and very good communication and project management skills.
You are business fluent in French and English. German would be an advantage.
Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, knowledge of AI tools would be a plus.
