Mission

The Operations Specialist Direct Marketing Germany supports the reliable operational execution and sustainable growth of Alpiqs Direct Marketing business in Germany. The role has a strong hands-on focus and includes customer onboarding, contract implementation, master data and portfolio management, as well as the coordination of internal and external stakeholders.

The Operations Specialist takes ownership of assigned operational activities and gradually develops responsibility for more complex operational cases and defined processes. Through close collaboration with customers, Sales, Trading, Legal, Settlement, and external service providers, the role contributes to high-quality operations, customer satisfaction, and continuous process improvement.

The position offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in Direct Marketing and progressively take on broader operational and process responsibilities.

Your main responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute customer onboarding, contract implementation, and operational processes for renewable energy assets.
• Act as an operational contact for customers and internal stakeholders throughout the onboarding and operational lifecycle.
• Maintain and validate customer, contract, asset, and portfolio data and ensure high levels of data quality and operational transparency.
• Manage assigned operational cases independently and coordinate their resolution with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of portfolio changes, new products, regulatory requirements, and energy-market processes.
• Take ownership of defined recurring operational activities and gradually assume responsibility for more complex topics and processes.
• Identify operational issues, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities and contribute to the implementation of sustainable solutions.
• Support portfolio reporting, KPI monitoring, process documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Contribute to automation, digitalisation, and the continuous improvement and scalability of operational processes.
• Work closely with Sales, Trading, Legal, Settlement, customers, and external service providers.

The Operations Specialist plays an important role in ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-quality operations across Alpiqs Direct Marketing business in Germany. By executing operational processes, coordinating onboarding activities, maintaining high-quality data, and taking increasing ownership of assigned topics, the role contributes to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and portfolio growth.

As experience and expertise develop, the Operations Specialist can progressively take on broader responsibility for complex operational topics, defined processes, and cross-functional coordination.

Your profile

• Relevant professional experience in the energy industry, customer operations, contract management, back-office operations, or a comparable operational environment.
• Good understanding of the German energy market or the ability to quickly develop expertise in Direct Marketing and renewable energy market processes.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with a structured and process-oriented mindset.
• Customer-oriented approach with strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to manage several operational topics simultaneously and follow them through reliably.
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to take ownership of recurring operational activities.
• Strong learning agility and the motivation to progressively take on more complex operational and process responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Fluent German language skills.
• Strong English language skills.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in Direct Marketing, renewable energy, customer onboarding, contract implementation, or operational energy market processes.
• Experience with CRM systems and the management of customer, contract, or portfolio data.
• Experience with analytical or reporting tools such as Excel VBA, Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
• Affinity for automation, digitalisation, and continuous process improvement.
• Initial experience coordinating cross-functional operational topics or smaller process improvements.
