The Fire Department employs over 720 full-time and approximately 2,100 volunteer firefighters. They stand by the citizens in all emergencies to ensure that fire and disaster protection in Stuttgart is guaranteed around the clock. The Finance Division is responsible for preparing and executing the entire budget, as well as for allocating financial resources to the Stuttgart Fire Department.

A job that inspires you

You will be responsible for the ongoing review and preparation of the monthly advance sales tax returns for the 24 departments of the Stuttgart Volunteer Fire Department

You will serve as the liaison between all departments of the Stuttgart Volunteer Fire Department and the City Treasury

You will be responsible for implementing the process for handling advance sales tax returns and annual sales tax returns for the special funds of the Stuttgart Volunteer Fire Department

You will assist in preparing the annual sales tax returns for the 24 departments of the Stuttgart Volunteer Fire Department

You will assist in the implementation of taxation for other services as well as in budgetary matters

Your profile that suits us

A completed apprenticeship as a tax clerk, administrative officer, or administrative assistant; or an employee who has completed Employee Training Course I; or a comparable business apprenticeship with experience in tax law

Experience and knowledge in performing tasks related to the Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS) / Section 2b of the German Value-Added Tax Act (UStG) are a plus

Proficiency in and in-depth knowledge of MS Office products

Knowledge of SAP is desirable.

A reliable individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to handle peak workloads with confidence

We are offering a position in Pay Grade 9a of the TVöD (€3,658.61 – €4,979.97). All amounts are monthly gross figures based on full-time employment.
