About the role

As part of an IT carve-out, an independent IT organization is being established. For the Application Management area, we are looking for an experienced professional to manage and further develop the application portfolio.

You are the technical owner of the entire application portfolio and ensure that all applications have a defined lifecycle, clear operating and support models, and up-to-date technical documentation. Together with the Application Management Lead and the Business Application Owners, you ensure transparency, stability, and future readiness across the entire application landscape.

What You Will Do

Technical Ownership & Lifecycle Management

Technical ownership of the entire application portfolio

Responsibility for the technical operability and lifecycle governance of applications

Maintenance of the application inventory

Maintenance of ownership, support, and operating models

Execution of lifecycle assessments

Upgrade and end-of-life planning

Coordination of technical changes and major releases

Management of technical vendor contacts and vendor escalations

Assessment of technical risks, dependencies, and obsolescence

Maintenance of architecture, operations, and support documentation

Ensuring technical compliance requirements are met

Supporting Application Owners with technical questions

Application Portfolio Operations

Maintenance of the central application catalog – software asset management

Tracking of business criticality and risk indicators

Maintenance of vendor, license, and contract information

Support for audits and compliance requirements

Preparation of portfolio reports and decision-making materials

Supporting the Application Management Lead in portfolio and investment decisions

What You Bring

Degree or comparable qualification in an IT-related field

Several years of experience in application management or IT service management

Experience working with software vendors and service providers

Analytical and structured way of working

Very good English language skills
