Whether its a drivers license, a building permit, or social benefits—as an administrative assistant, you ensure that public tasks are carried out reliably. You advise citizens, process applications, and become familiar with the various responsibilities of a county administration. No two days are alike.

Heres what you can expect

3-year dual training program (starts August 1 of each year)

Apprenticeship stipend under the TVAöD ranging from 1,368.26 euros to 1,464.02 euros (as of 2026)

31 days of recreational leave based on a 5-day workweek per calendar year; Christmas Eve and New Years Eve are additional days off—with no deduction from vacation time

Vocational school at the Konrad Zuse School in Hünfeld, as well as classes at the Hesse Academy of Public Administration in Fulda

Assignments in various specialized services in the Fulda district

Personal guidance from our lead instructors (VALKen) and regular feedback sessions

Working independently from the very beginning

Joint trainee activities and team events
