You will develop algorithms that make industrial and commercial energy systems smarter, more sustainable, and more profitable. As a Data Scientist at coneva, you work at the intersection of data analysis, mathematical optimization, and energy markets – directly shaping our Flex product, which enables automated trading on energy markets and intelligent control of distributed energy resources.

coneva develops data-driven software solutions to reduce electricity costs for industrial and commercial customers – from intelligent energy management and battery storage to flexibility marketing. Your Responsibilities

Development of our Flex product within an agile, international team

Building and validating forecasting models for site-level energy demand

Designing, implementing, and refining mathematical optimization models

Modelling and simulating complex industrial and commercial energy systems

Applying advanced statistical methods (time series analysis, regression)

Ensuring quality and reliability through documentation and testing

Close collaboration with Sales in analyzing customer requirements

What You Bring

Degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or energy systems

Proven experience in convex optimization and MILP

Strong Python: Jupyter, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, cvxpy

In-depth knowledge of electricity markets, spot market trading in Germany

Fluency in English (C1) – German is a plus

Bonus: Familiarity with battery storage, EV chargers, PV systems
