Salary Range: € 95.000 - 135.000 per year gross depending on the seniority level

Your Responsibilities

Architect and Lead: Define and own the long-term cloud architecture vision, ensuring alignment with business goals while guiding the evolution of our AWS-native infrastructure from concept to production.

Technical Leadership: Mentor and influence engineering teams across the organization, promoting cloud-native best practices, setting coding standards, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Infrastructure as Code at Scale: Drive the design and implementation of highly automated, resilient, and secure IaC frameworks to ensure rapid deployment and minimal downtime.

End-to-End Platform Ownership: Oversee the full architecture of the platform—data ingestion, data processing, control systems, and user-facing applications—ensuring performance, maintainability, and extensibility.

Security and Compliance Leadership: Champion best-in-class security practices and ensure compliance with critical infrastructure and regulatory requirements, embedding security deeply into every stage of the development lifecycle.

Operational Excellence: Establish organization-wide monitoring, observability, and incident management practices that maximize system resilience and enable proactive performance improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, data engineers, ML engineers and developers to align technical solutions with business priorities, bridging strategic needs with scalable cloud architectures.

Strategic Foresight: Anticipate future technical challenges and scalability needs, identifying opportunities to reduce complexity, improve cost efficiency, and accelerate innovation across the platform.

Your Profile

Mandatory requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or software engineering, with at least 3+ years of deep, hands-on expertise in AWS cloud platforms, building and scaling production-grade infrastructure.

Proven experience in defining and evolving cloud architecture at scale, with ownership across multiple systems, services, or platforms.

Strong background in software engineering, with expertise in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash), and ability to set coding standards for cloud-related tooling.

Deep knowledge of AWS services such as API Gateway, DynamoDB, Lambda, IAM, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation, and the ability to select and apply the right services to complex business problems.

Demonstrated experience supporting containerized applications and microservices architectures, including orchestration, CI/CD, and automated deployment strategies.
