As we continue to grow, we are looking for a (Senior) Energy Data Analyst who will play a key role in turning complex data into actionable insights, driving performance improvements, and supporting strategic decisions across our product and trading activities.
Location: Munich, Germany
Employment Type: Full-time, indefinite
Salary Range: €80,000 – €100,000 per year gross (depending on experience)
Working mode: Office setup

Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Energy Data Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will go beyond analysis to actively influence product, business, and market strategy:
Advanced Product & Trading Analytics: Analyze and interpret complex data related to our trading algorithms and product performance, identifying trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
Energy Market Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of energy markets to generate actionable insights that inform trading strategies, product development, and business decisions.
Strategic Impact: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to evaluate and shape product initiatives, translating data insights into strategic recommendations.
Ownership of Metrics & Reporting: Define, develop, and maintain key performance indicators and dashboards, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Data Infrastructure & Scalability: Own analytics processes, tools, and data pipelines to ensure scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of insights.
Stakeholder Communication: Present complex analyses in a clear and compelling way to internal and external stakeholders, influencing decision-making at all levels.
Your Profile
Mandatory Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar role, ideally within the energy or trading sector.
Solid software engineering skills with experience in building scalable solutions for production environments (Git, automated testing, code review, CI/CD).
Strong understanding of energy markets, trading mechanisms, and the role of flexibility in the energy transition.
Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
Solid experience with statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing, predictive, and descriptive analytics.
Proven ability to translate complex data into strategic, actionable insights.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
Excellent English communication skills (C1 level).
Skills to Set You Apart
Experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
Proficient in leveraging AI tools to enhance and accelerate analytical workflows
Exposure to energy trading systems and optimization algorithms.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana or Plotly.
Deep technical understanding of energy assets, especially BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems)
This role may not be a fit for you if…
You are not comfortable with coding and rely primarily on BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
You are not interested in the energy sector and how energy markets operate
You are not comfortable working with uncertainty, assumptions, and hypothesis-driven analysis in fast-paced environments.
